Timothy Spall stars as Turner, an eccentric painter whose life and art form takes a turn after the death of his esteemed father. As he shocks and awes the patrons with his style of painting, Turner touches many people’s lives with his frank manners, while his works spark the rise of landscape paintings as well as the spread of abstract art.
Mr. Turner is directed by Mike Leigh and also stars Paul Jesson, Dorothy Atkinson, Marion Bailey, Sandy Foster, Karl Johnson, Ruth Sheen, Amy Dawson, Lesley Manville, Martin Savage, and Richard Bremmer.
